It is with much pleasure that I FINALLY unveil the three finished Brookdale paintings!
At the beginning of 2012 I started collaborating with Child Life Specialist, Janis Atty, at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn on the Dreamscape Project. She asked her patients what they would like to see in the Dreamscape artworks, and spent a few months collecting ideas for me. In June I flew over to NY to meet her and the young people she works with, and then set about creating three artworks from their ideas. I used ink to create large-scale drawings on the three canvases. Throughout June and July I visited Brookdale Hospital to paint the canvases with the children. It was crazy. This is what we came up with.

Hope you guys like them! The children and teens (and staff at the Hospital!) were all really happy about how they turned out, so that's awesome. The paintings are currently at Brookdale, and arrangements are being made to auction off two of the paintings to raise money for the Hospital. The other painting will be kept by Brookdale, and displayed in the Hospital. Although I have heard rumors Brookdale's CEO might like to keep two of the paintings and just auction one. Guess he likes them? :D
Good job Brookdale! Thank you so much for having me and making this project possible x
